Cyberspace/F2F

I have made friendships only in cyberspace, but only over xbox live for video games. I don't trust anyone on the computer, so I just stuck with xbox. They actually really aren't all that different. You get to know each other and sooner or later your calling each other by your first names. You see the other person online and you immedialey invite them to play and you start talking again. You almost do everything the same as if you were face 2 face friends, except doing the physical things with other that involves both you two to do (like eating, playing baseball, etc.) but other than that we talk like we know eachother. Ask how the day was and so on. Nothing really too different besides the fact that you cant see or do anything with eachother. Some intense and serious gamers give each other their number or facebook and then notify or set up a date and time to get online and play.I've actually had several experiences with this, but like I said, i won't trust anyone on the computer though. I've seen too many incidences happening on the net.

  1. I found your post very interesting. I have never even thought that you can make friends through xbox.. but that is probably because I don't play video game. I don't even know how to control the controller. I respect that you only believe in xbox made relationship, I don't make online relationships either anymore but I did try it when I was in high school, didn't work for me though. I think that blogging here opens our eyes to many things we're not familiar with and today I learned something new! The fact that you can make friendships through xbox.

  2. I've jumped on my brother's Xbox quite a few times and ended up making some friends. Not quite regular friends since it is hard to be online the same time when there are time differences and such, but it is still fun and usually pretty chill. It's awkward to be a girl on the mic though because people are usually not expecting it, especially with shooters. I've made friends on the computer too but only of the same gender, I don't like the whole online dating thing, it seems to superficial to me since dating is different than just having a friend to chat with about interests.
